Burton died at her residence in Tuskaloosa Tuesday morning after an illness of but a few days. Services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Pastors Gene Jordan and Albert Lyles officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. In 1847 he was a candidate for the representative branch of the legislature, and conducted the canvass, though very young, with much tact and ability, and with entire satisfaction to his own party, and won for himself an enviable reputation as a public speaker. Mr. Moore left Tuscaloosa with Capt. E. Fitch, of New Haven, Conn., killed his wife in Tuscaloosa, Tuesday morning, in a fit of delirum, by cutting her throat with a razor. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church of Samantha, this county. passed away February 23, 2023 at DCH Medical Center.
